As we offer our students room to grow, teachers also find a teaching & learning environment with a healthy balance of clarity and flexibility. The ground is ready for teachers who want to pursue an idea. Examples abound.  Modern art as a part of an elementary PE program? Sure! Classrooms which feature teacher-created Live Action Role Play (LARP) units as a means to engage students wholly in a context for learning? Absolutely.

As we offer our students peers to grow with, teachers also find colleagues within and beyond our school setting to serve as partners in the process of generative thinking and planning.  Global has served as a professional practice site for nearby Universities, welcoming graduate students into our classrooms and conversations for nearly eighteen years. Their steady presence as observers, questioners and participants in our teaching and learning work brings clarity and purpose to all we do. We are proud of the impact we have as we send thoughtfully trained, capable educators into classrooms across our city year after year.
